Probing A Little Deeper into Science (A3)

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Take your students a little deeper into Simple Machines Temperature, Magnetic Force and more with Vernier Scientific Probes. The ultimate Data Collection Tool.

Each school should have multiple sensors made by Vernier to collect data digitally through the Logger Lite program on Windows base computers.  I also have 6 Lab Quest 2s. that we will explore.  Vernier has also launched a Chrome App to be all inclusive.  There are sensors for almost every grade level.  In Second and Third Grade we use the temperature sensor to get very accurate measurements. you can even record measurements during a chemical reaction or while heating water up to see the rate of increase.  The force sensor takes the place of the spring scale and can be used to calculate the amount of work is completed when force is applied.  Explore the room in search of Magnetic fields with the Magnetic Field Sensor and take accurate measurements to analyze the strength of a magnet at the poles when compared to the middle of the magnet.
